events The Uptown Association is an active organization of business and property owners in the Uptown area whose goal is to continue to create and improve the Uptown business district.

The Uptown Ankeny Association organizes several key events annually to promote the interest and development of the Uptown area. These events and activites include the Taste of Uptown where our Uptown food establishments provide food and beverages to host this event; the Farmer's Market runs every Saturday morning from May to September; the Kiddie Parade as part of the Ankeny SummerFest activites; our holiday events are the Santa Treasure Hunt and a Gift Basket Raffle. Plus the Association is in involved with the Tree Lighting Ceremony and the Electric Lights Parade during the holiday season.

The Uptown Association holds its monthly meetings the first Thursday of each month at noon. The meetings are held at Leaning Tower Pizza at 512 SW Third St. The yearly dues are $50 and goes into the Association’s general fund to promote and sponsor events and to purchase street signs, banners, flowers, and trees to enhance the Uptown area.
